As part of the regional week, the State Duma deputy Djamaladin Gasanov visited Dagestan Centre of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery. Lately, the managing staff of the Centre appealed to the politician with a proposal to assist in expansion of the medical institution.

Dagestan Centre for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery is recognized as one of the best scientific and clinical units in the country, providing essential care to patients from all over the Northern Caucasus. Last year, the cardiology Centre received about 5,000 patients, and the number is growing every year.

The issue of expanding the cardiology Centre was first raised in 2013. Nowadays, its construction has become extremely important. Djamaladin Gasanov approached the Russian Minister of Public Health Mikhail Murashko with a request to include the construction of the new building in the federal targeted investment program for the development of healthcare.

The Public Health Ministry of Dagestan, in turn, submitted an application with a package of necessary documents. If approved, the construction of new facility of the Centre will begin in the nearest future.
