Shamil Kapurov, a native of the village of Chontaul, a participant of the Special Military Operation, has been awarded the Suvorov Medal by the decree of the President of Russia. In 2017 Kapurov graduated from the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy in St. Petersburg. After graduation he served in various positions in the 46th separate brigade of operational purpose in Grozny of the North Caucasian military district.

From 2021 to the present, he has served as a mortar battery commander in the 748th independent operational battalion of the Eastern district of the National Guards Troops of the Russian Federation.

From April 2022 to the present, in the zone of the Special Military Operation, has repeatedly performed tasks to ensure the advance of our units by destroying enemy personnel and armored vehicles.  

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation for courage, bravery and selflessness displayed at military and service duties, Kapurov was awarded the medals "Suvorov", "For Bravery", as well as departmental awards - "For Distinction in Service" 3rd degree and "For Merit in Strengthening Law and Order" medals.
