Six multi-fuel filling stations and five methane filling stations will be built in the republic under the cooperation agreement between the Government of Dagestan and Gazprom Gazonefteprodukt Holding LLC.  The cooperation agreement was signed at the 12th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum in November 2023.

Five auto fueling compressor stations are planned under the "Development of the liquefied gas fuel market in the Republic of Dagestan for 2022-2025" project. Apart from the refueling function, these complexes will also include multifunctional zones offering drivers a wide range of services - from vehicle maintenance and repair to catering and recreation. Fast charging stations for electric vehicles will also be installed at these sites.

As to Marat Shikhaliyev, the regional Minister of Energy and Tariffs of Dagestan, the construction of these facilities will help to ensure stable fuel prices, improve road service and the quality of fuel sold as part of the development of the North-South Transport Corridor.

“These measures will also contribute to the development of new tourist, residential and industrial areas in the region, increasing employment and tax revenues for the republican budget” – the top official said.
