Makhachkala Airport is preparing to accommodate up to 100 flights per day during the peak tourist season this year. The number of direct domestic flights is also expected to increase, with the number potentially reaching 31. In conjunction with the surge in tourist traffic, Makhachkala Airport is expanding its network of direct domestic flights. Last year, 22 destinations were served by direct domestic flights. By summer 2024, the number is expected to increase to 31. During the peak tourist season in 2023, the airport received up to 90 flights per day. This year, the airport is projected to receive up to 100 flights.
