Architect Grimm's 'Dagestan' hotel is a cultural heritage site in the Republic of Dagestan.   The building served various purposes over the years, but its appearance and preservation were neglected by the tenants. A court case even arose between the regional Property Ministry and one of the tenants. The final stage of the restoration project is shown in the second photo below.
