More than 100 trees have been planted in Makhachkala's Lenin Komsomol Park to commemorate the fallen participants of the Special Military Operation as part of the international Garden of Remembrance campaign.

Nariman Abdulmutalibov, the vice premier of the regional Government took part in the event. "Our brothers and sons are fighting, sacrificing their lives for the Motherland and strengthening the country's independence. We, who live in peaceful Dagestan, must make our region better, richer, so that they can be proud of us. Our heroes deserve a successful Dagestan" – the top official noted.

The participants of the action, who came to immortalize the memory of their loved ones noted that the planted trees would remind the park visitors of their relatives’ heroic deeds.
