Dagestan faces a serious problem of lack of funds to provide housing for those on the waiting list. The severity of the situation is linked to the growing need for housing for vulnerable groups. The number of people on the waiting list is growing every year. For now, it exceeds 36 thousand people, including more than 6 thousand disabled people and families with disabled children.

The RUB 300 million allocated from the republican budget are insufficient, as the cost of 1 square meter of housing increases and the number of citizens who can be supported with a subsidy decreases.

It is obvious that the regional authorities need to increase funding to cover more citizens waiting for housing. For this purpose, it is necessary to actively seek additional sources of funding, as well as to introduce new programs and projects aimed at solving the housing problem in the region. It is also important to attract the attention of the federal authorities and ask for their support in providing housing for the residents of Dagestan.
