Dagestan State University won federal competition for the organization and holding of popular scientific events for a wide audience. The DSU project "Festival of popular science tourism of the North Caucasian Federal District "Top of Sciences"" has received grant support from the federal budget for the organization and holding popular science events for the general public.

The development of popular science tourism is one of the initiatives under the Decade of Science and Technology. Currently there are more than 30 popular science routes in 11 subjects of the Russian Federation. Within the framework of the project, for the first time 10 popular science tourist routes will be developed for the Republic and the Festival will be held.
