Michurino village, Derbentskiy district, October 8, 2014. Students of Daghestan State University’s faculty of management took part in the "Alma Mater" tourist rally, the university’s press service informed RIA "Dagestan". The event organized by Makhachkala Committee on Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs was taking place in the "Golden Sands" resort in Michurino village, Derbentskiy district.
It’s a regular annual event organized by the committee. This rally’s novelty is participation of students from Chechnya. Here, students compete meanwhile sharing their experience and honing their skills.
The rally followed a particular program - participants were to go through an obstacle line in a tourism and a sports relay, and show their knowledge of ground navigation and rock climbing. Then followed a practical conference on "Scientific community’s view of tourism development prospects and prospects for developing cities as tourist centers".
Participants say the rally was organized on the highest level. The morning exercises, workshops, art and local history quizzes, sports relays, and recitals gave the students a chance to express themselves in all spheres.
