RusHydro has no plans to start construction of a small hydroelectric power plant worth RUB 13.6 billion in Dagestan. The company had planned to build the Mogokhskaya hydroelectric plant with a capacity of 49.8 megawatts. The decision to abandon the project was caused by the lack of economic feasibility. RusHydro won a tender for the project in 2021. The estimated revenue from the facility was expected to make 1.35 billion rubles per year. However, the cost of the project was estimated at 13.6 billion rubles and construction was scheduled to begin in mid-2024.
