Makhachkala, October 20, 2017. The second largest multimedia historical park in Russia “Russia is My History” has opened on Thursday in the center of Makhachkala. The total area of the multimedia park is approx. 13 thousand square meters. The larger one is located in Moscow (27 thousand square meters).

The interim prime minister of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov, the assistant to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal District Alexey Gasanov, the Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the Chairman of the Patriarchal Council for Culture Bishop Tikhon Egorievsky (Georgy Shevkunov) and the representatives of the Humanitarian Fund which oversees the construction of similar museums throughout the country have participated in the opening ceremony of the museum complex.

"Russia is my history" is a multimedia complex in which the history of Russia from ancient times is represented. More than 1000-year history of the country is presented by means of modern technologies - video walls, panoramic cinemas, 3D-reconstructions of cities and battles and holographic installations. The first such complex appeared in 2015 in Moscow. Its branches, which have already opened in 17 administrative centers of Russian regions, in particular, in Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Stavropol and Volgograd, should appear in 25 cities of the country.
