Makhachkala, October 19, 2017. In November, the Russia’s Minister for Construction, Housing and Public Utilities Mikhail Men plans to visit Dagestan. The minister is going to check the progress of implementation of the program on resettlement of residents from dilapidated and emergency housing. The deadline for its completion this year was postponed to 45 days.

As Mikhail Men commented on the upcoming visit to Dagestan, "the program is under control of the Ministry, but we have so far decided to allow the new governor to enter, understand and agree that, tentatively, until the end of November, we will definitely go to the site, to see what can be done from the point of view of adjustments"

In August 2017, the Fund for Assistance to Housing Reform had authorized the republic to postpone the completion of the next phase of the program from September 1 to October 16. By this time, 987 families in five districts of the republic had to move to the new housing. No information given about how much families actually moved and what kind of lag is there in the region.

By decision of the Russian Federation Government, the work of the Fund has been extended throughout the Russian Federation for another year.

As previously reported, the head of Dagestan government demanded to liquidate the backlog from the schedule for the construction of schools in the republic.
