DSU to host international conference "Media and public: pressing issues of modern journalism"

Makhachkala, October 27, 2014. Daghestan State University will host an international conference named "Media and public: pressing issues of modern journalism" on December 20, the university’s press service told RIA "Dagestan". The event is timed to the 25th anniversary of the university’s journalism department.

The conference will dispute on a wide range of fundamental and applied issues related to the role of media in today’s world, like: modern media education (practices and problems), regional telecommunication (development potential), language and style of e-media, media and regional conflicts, public and communicative space of modern media, modern e-media as a tool of new political communication, media – society – education (interaction models), etc.
Invited to the conference are experts from educational institutions, teachers, university students and graduates, media leaders and reporters.

The conference is scheduled to run December 20 in the auditorium of the DSU faculty of philology. To apply for the conference, please fill in the registration card available on the university’s website and send it to kafedra112a@mail.ru or samira.kurbanova.2013@mail.ru until November 20.
When finished, the conference will come up with a sourcebook.
