Magomed Kurbanov suffered his first defeat in the professional ring. At the tournament in Saudi Arabia, Dagestani boxer fought for the WBA middleweight title. Kurbanov lost to the representative of Uzbekistan Israil Madrimov. The duel ended with the victory of the latter in the fifth round by technical knockout. Besides, the tournament turned to be Kurbanov’s first event in his career held abroad. Before that, Kurbanov won all his 25 fights in the tournaments on the territory of the Russian Federation.
