Young Dagestani chess player repeatedly becomes scholarship winner of Russian Chess School

Adam Khiryaev, a fifth grader at Makhachkala Secondary General School No. 7, has received a scholarship from the Vladimir Prosviryakov Foundation for the second year in a row. The scholarship allows him to study at the Russian chess school for the second year.  

The presentation of scholarship certificates took place at the Pushkin Theater in Moscow. Nine young talents from all over Russia became scholarship holders of the Fund. Thanks to the support from the Prosviryakov Foundation talented children from the regions are given opportunity to play chess professionally on a long-term basis.

Adam Khiryaev is the bronze medalist of chess tournament of the North Caucasian Federal District and the captain of the school team that won the White Rook tournament in Dagestan.
