Psychological Assistance Centre for participants of Special Military Operation and their families opens in Makhachkala

The Centre for Psychological Assistance to participants of the Special Military Operation and their families has officially opened in Dagestan State University in Makhachkala. The idea to open the organization belongs to the regional branch of the United Russia women's movement. Here, professional psychologists will provide all necessary assistance free of charge and anonymously.

In the context of the SMO in Ukraine, there is a need to provide assistance to those who are now most vulnerable to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder (SMO participants, their families and children).

According to Zarema Akbiyeva, the deputy Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Philosophy of DSU, professional psychologists will provide comprehensive assistance and support to all women who apply and to the SMO participants themselves. More than 30 of the best clinical psychologists and psychotherapists are involved in the work of the Center. The specialists will work both individually and in groups.
