DSU and SRC "Kurchatov Institute" sign agreement on strategic partnership

Dagestan State University and the Kurchatov Institute have signed an agreement on strategic partnership. A delegation of the Scientific Research Center "Kurchatov Institute", consisting of its President Mikhail Kovalchuk, the Vice President Vladislav Panchenko and Director Marat Kambolov came to the university. They toured the Digital Platforms Engineering Center, the Nanotechnology Research and Education Center, the Plasma Physics Research and Education Center, the Center for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation and DSU aquatic complex.

Mikhail Kovalchuk talked to the young scientists and asked about their scientific research and developments. An exhibition of Dagestan scientific potential was organized in the lobby of the Physics Faculty, where scientific works and developments of all universities and research centers, as well as pottery and jewelry art were presented.

Besides, the guests were presented a mobile ecological laboratory and drones of the Institute of Ecology and Sustainable Development of DSU.

Then in the assembly hall of the Faculty of Physics, a solemn meeting of the Academic Council was held, at which DSU Rector Murtazali Rabadanov and Director of SRC "Kurchatov Institute" Marat Kambolov signed the agreement on strategic partnership.
The cooperation envisages building relationships in education, research and innovation activities.

Thus, it is planned to carry out joint educational courses and students' practice, to organize Olympiads for schoolchildren, to conduct joint scientific researches, to implement large scientific projects, including creation of joint temporary creative teams, to organize scientific conferences, schools for young scientists, students and post-graduate students.

In the sphere of innovation activity, the parties expressed intention to work on joint innovation projects: organization of science festivals, exhibitions of the results of innovation activity and other forms of promotion and popularization of science.
"This is a very important agreement for us, because SRC "Kurchatov Institute", like DGU, has a wide range of directions. I think we will find points of contact and this agreement will give a new impetus to our interaction" - Murtazali Rabadanov noted.
