Tourist train "Pearl of the Caucasus" arrives to Dagestan in May

Tourist train "Pearl of the Caucasus" will depart from Moscow to Dagestan on May 2. The trip will last till the end of September.  According to the press service of the regional Tourism Ministry, "Pearl of the Caucasus" is a seven-day railway trip on a cruise train through a specially designed route developed by the holding company "Russian Railways". The train route is Moscow - Maykop - Vladikavkaz - Grozny - Makhachkala - Derbent - Nalchik - Moscow.

The passengers will see mountain peaks, rocky waterfalls, picturesque valleys and gorges. In just a week, they will get familiarized with the Caucasus, its culture and traditions.

As for Dagestan, the travelers will see the Naryn-Kala citadel, the Sulak Canyon, Europe's largest sand barhan Sary-Kum and other popular tourist destinations.

The schedule of the cruise is planned in such a way that during the day tourists can go on excursions and spend the night in the train, using it instead of a hotel as a "hotel on wheels”.
