Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov presented the project of the All-Russian Children's Center "Dagestan". The presentation was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Alexander Novak.
Melikov pointed out that due to its geographic location and favorable natural and climatic conditions, the region has a great potential for creation of the children center. The idea is supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Government of the country. In his turn Alexander Novak confirmed the readiness of the Government to support the project.

As to the representative of "Creative Technologies" LLC, the creation of the All-Russian children recreation center on the territory of Dagestan will promote not only recreation, health improvement and development of children from different regions of the country, but also the formation of communication skills, intercultural integration and strengthening of interethnic relations and friendship.

The large number of historical monuments in the republic, cultural and spiritual heritage sites, rich ethno-cultural and confessional diversity, the possibility of organizing children's meals based on natural and ecologically pure products make the region the most suitable for creating national scale center.

The Education Ministry of Russia proposed to locate the All-Russian Children's Center on a plot of 220 hectares in the village of Manasqent. The plot is conveniently located to the south of the town of Kaspiysk, along the road linking the central districts of the region. The distance from it to the international airport "Makhachkala" makes approx. 2 km.

All the issues of financing the center's construction are being worked out nowadays; an opportunity of public-private partnership is being considered – the officials say.

Noteworthy, currently there are four all-Russian children's centers functioning in the format of federal state budget educational organizations established by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation: "Smena", "Orlyonok", "Ocean" and "Artek".
