Dagestan Government and Chinese investors sign cooperation agreement

Makhachkala, August 10, 2016. On August 9, the chairman of Dagestan Government Abdusamad Gamidov met with the members of Chinese delegation representing the "ZTE-Svyaztehnologii", LLC.

The delegation, which arrived in Dagestan on an official visit, included the corporate vice president Li Qingshui, the senior manager of sales department Fen Yui, the manager Luan Symey and CEO director general of the company Hu Kovo Dinzhun.

The meeting brought together the deputy Prime Minister RD Shamil Isaev, Dagestan minister of Industry and Trade Yusup Umavov, the head of the Agency for Entrepreneurship and Investment Bashir Magomedov, the deputy Dagestan minister of Transport, Energy and Communications Arslan Arslanov, the director of Dagestan branch of RusHydro OJSC Timur Gamzatov.

Welcoming the guests on behalf of Dagestani Head, Abdusamad Gamidov, in particular, said: "Let me express my sincere gratitude for your attention to Dagestan aimed at establishing good partnership relations and your intention to invest in large projects. Dagestanis, like the Chinese, historically are famed for their willingness to work, hospitality and goodwill. These qualities of our people can become a solid basis for our long-term cooperation. "

The chairman of Dagestan Government also noted the favorable climatic conditions, significant labor and natural resources allow the region to develop actively in the priority directions of the economy such as the fuel and energy complex, agro industry, innovative technologies and others.

Abdusamad Gamidov pointed out that Dagestan leadership would support the intention of constructing 2 solar power-stations in Dagestan. "Your company is one of the fastest growing companies in the sphere of high technologies. In this regard, we would like your investment and technological potential actively to be involved in Dagestan economy. We, fr om our part, will do everything possible to establish mutually beneficial cooperation ", - the prime minister added.

In his turn, the vice president Li Qingshui said: "We have come to further develop our cooperation. The first meeting we had in Yekaterinburg, and now we would like to get to know Dagestan. Yesterday we visited Kaspiysk and Khunzakh district wh ere we intend to realize our project and got familirized with the conditions of the solar plant construction. We are glad to be helpful to Dagestan. Taking into consideration the support rendered by the Chinese and Dagestani governments we are confident that our cooperation will be mutually beneficial".

Li Qingshui also said that the Chinese experts had estimated the investment potential of Dagestan in July 2015, when the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Russia Li Hui visited the republic within the framework of the official visit.

The conversation ended with the ceremony of signing of a general agreement on cooperation between Dagestan Government and the "ZTE Corporation - Svyaztehnologii" LLC.
