Forty students from Dagestan perform at Vladimir Vysotsky’s works reading contest

Makhachkala, April 30, 2018. The student's reading contest of works by Vladimir Vysotsky "The Singing Nerve of the Epoch" has taken place April 27 in the Theater of Poetry located in Dagestani capital, Makhachkala.

The competition organized by the North Caucasian Institute "All-Russian State University of Justice" in conjunction with the Theater of Poetry was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of poet.

Forty readers from Dagestan State University, Dagestan State Pedagogical University, Dagestan State University of National Economy, the North Caucasian Institute of the All-Russian University of Justice, the Business College, the Financial-Economic, Legal and Humanitarian-Pedagogical Colleges performed on the scene.

The director of the Theater of Poetry, Elena Garunova, the assistant to professor of the Russian Literature Department of DSU, the candidate of philology Musa Gadjiyev, the poetess Marina Ahmedova and the others evaluated the contestants who sited such works as "Horizon", "I do not like", "Letter before the fight", "Masks", "Brotherly Graves", "Song of the Stars", "Why It's Wrong" etc.

Based on the results of poetical event, the first place was awarded to the students Kurban Ramazanov, Seid-Amin Seyidov and Khadizhat Shangerereva. The winners of the recitation contest received certificates from the Ministry of Culture of Dagestan and cash prizes.
