Dagestan carpets presented at exhibition in "Yasnaya Polyana" museum-estate

Moscow, May 4, 2018. The Exhibition Hall of the Volkonsky’s House at the L.N. Tolstoy’s Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana" in Tula region hosts the exhibition "Carpet art of Dagestan".

As to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan, the exhibition featured graphics, carpets and woven products from Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts named after P.S. Gamzatova and the National Museum RD named after A. Tahoe-Godi, as well as the products of modern masters.

The visitors of the vernissage made excursions and participated in master class on tuft weaving prepared by specialists of the Fine Arts Museum. The master class visited by a large number of guests of "Yasnaya Polyana" continued on the second day. The guests viewed the exhibition with interest, asked questions and took an active part in the master classes, trying to make at least a few knots on the carpet weaving machine.

The event will last till June 2, 2018.
