Tourism potential of Dagestan to be presented at joint exposition of North Caucasian regions at "ITM - 2017" Exhibition

Makhachkala, March 6, 2017. The Ministry of Tourism and Folk Crafts of Dagestan held a meeting on preparations for the XII International Tourism Exhibition "ITM - 2017". The Ministry annually prepares an exhibition stand, designed as the main ethnic, cultural and historical monuments of Dagestan. The members of Dagestan delegation show movies, presentations, colorful slide shows, spreads printed and multimedia content promoting the positive image of the region.

This year, the Ministry will present the tourist potential of the republic at the 12th International Tourism Exhibition "ITM - 2017" within the framework of the joint exposition of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District.

The exhibition will be held March 11-13 in the "Crocus Expo" in Moscow. The sanatoriums "Caspian" and "Tarnair" will present their spa facilities and services in the field of rehabilitation, recreation, entertainment, etc. at the stand of the Republic of Dagestan. The tourist information centers "Dagestan" and "Derbent - 2000" will present new tourist routes and popular events in Dagestan. One of the oldest tour operators of the republic - the company "Turuniversal" will make a presentation on the advantages of tourism and recreation in Dagestan.

In accordance with the action plan, on March 12, the Russian pavilion "ITM" will host the "Day of the North Caucasian Federal District", during which the Tourism Ministry of Dagestan intends to organize master classes. Kubachi artists will demonstrate the ancient techniques of processing of precious metals and jewelry making.

For the first time, Dagestan State Nature Reserve "Dagestan" will present a colorful presentation on the Year of Ecology and the specially protected natural territories in the republic.
Different exhibitions of folk arts and crafts of the republic presenting the unique products of craftsmen from the villages of Kubachi, Gotsatl, Untsukul and Hiv are expected to take place within the entire time of work of the "ITM" Exhibition at the stand of Dagestan.

ITM is the main tourist exhibition, which officially supported by the Federal Agency for tourism of Russian Federation, as well as other Federal services and professional organizations, contributing to the development of the tourist industry in Russia. The exhibition hosts a variety of business and presentation events: round tables, seminars, and lectures with the participation of specialists in IT-technologies and innovative marketing tools.
