Makhachkala, February 21, 2018. In 2017, the Concern "Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant" (KEMZ) increased production by 1.25 times compared to the previous year, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Dagestan reports.
The increase in production volumes of the concern was achieved through the implementation of a project to produce import-substituting products. But the main engine of growth was the creation of the branch – the Aviation Mechanical Plant (AMP), built in Kaspiysk.

The AMP consists of two machining workshops equipped with more than 70 units of modern CNC machine tools. Thermal, instrumental, paint shops, assembly sites have been created too. With the expansion of the plant's capacity, more than 260 new high-performance jobs have been created.

All this allowed to proceed to the implementation of the project to produce a light-engine four-seat MAI-411 aircraft. After the completion of ground and flight tests, the serial production of the vehicle will be started. The MAI-411 is a joint development of Dagestan enterprise and the design bureau of Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). All the components of the aircraft except for the engine are produced by the Russian manufacturers.
