Dagestan "Quantorium" enters best children's technoparks rating list of Russia

Makhachkala, February 21, 2018. Dagestan "Quantorium" entered the rating list of the best children's technoparks in the country, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science RD Patimat Gitinomagomedova says.

"The federal State Autonomous Institution  “Russian Foundation for Educational Development” (RFED)  has compiled a rating list for the best "Quantoriums" of the country" - Gitinomagomedova noted.

According to Gitinomagomedova, by results of the rating, 14 regions of the country, including Voronezh, Moscow region, Stavropol Territory, Bashkiria, Karelia and others have been included into the "green zone".

Dagestan children's technopark "Quantorium " was opened on October 17, 2017 in Makhachkala. The classes in the technopark are conducted in five innovative directions: Robotics, IT Quantum, Industrial Design, Aerocarbon and VR / AR Quantum (augmented and virtual reality). The children master advanced technologies and get practical skills to apply them using play-based methods.

In January 2018 Anton Timkin, the deputy director of the RFED, visited the technopark to assess the activities and to provide advice to the staff. Timkin appreciated the good level and great potential for the development of the institution, the ministry official said.

"More than 800 schoolchildren from Makhachkala are currently enrolled in the Quantorium. In 2018, the Ministry of Education and Science of Dagestan plans to open six branches of Quantorium in other major cities and districts of the republic" - the ministry press release runs.
