Makhachkala, May 28, 2018. The biggest home-improvement store chain in Russia “Leroy Merlin” opens its hypermarket in Dagestan. The hypermarket will offer wide choice of building materials, interior decoration and gardening goods. It is also expected to sell construction materials produced in the region.

The regional authorities intend to conclude an agreement with the large trading network on cooperation with the local construction materials producers. "There are not many trading networks in Dagestan. The coming ones will take into account our capabilities. Now the question is solved, that "Leroy Merlin" comes to us. So, we agreed that there will be a full line of our construction materials - stone, brick and so forth"- the acting head of the republic, Vladimir Vasiliev said at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.

In early April, the Prime Minister of Dagestan Artem Zdunov held talks with the representatives of the companies "Leroy Merlin Vostok" and "Rual" on the issue of opening branch stores in Dagestan. The top official then noted that with proper formulation of tasks the project can be implemented quickly enough.

As of end 2015, “Leroy Merlin” operates 325 stores in the world, and is the market leader in Europe in the sales volume of building and interior decoration goods.
