Chinese businessmen study investment opportunities in Dagestan
The delegation from China included the president of the investment group Winning Investments, the main shareholder of Hiawatha Oil Services Wang Wei, the president of Transbulk International; investor in such areas as logistics, infrastructure projects, mining, development business Pei Guang Li, the representative of Hiawatha Oil Services Wang Tao and head of the leasing operation of the state-owned CIMC-container, industrial and logistics equipment company Chen Jiang.
During the meeting, Gamidov pointed out the intention of the republican authorities to implement joint projects in the region with the participation of Chinese businessmen. "We have a good workforce, qualified staff, we are open for cooperation and are ready to use all available opportunities for joint business," the interim prime minister said.
"This is our first meeting, we are very seriously interested in implementing investment projects in the republic and we plan to arrive in the region more often." Earlier it was reported that Dagestan government and the Chinese company ZTE Corporation signed a general agreement on the construction of two solar stations in Kaspiysk and Khunzakh. The document was signed in the government of Dagestan during the last official visit of the Chinese delegation.
Chinese experts evaluated the investment potential in Dagestan for the first time in July 2015 as part of the official visit of the PRC Ambassador to Russia Li Huey. Then representatives of the largest technological and industrial companies of China visited various regions of the republic and the stations of Dagestan branch the RusHydro JSC.
