According to the results of the national tourism rating, the Republic of Dagestan took the first place among the republics of the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and the 50th place among the subjects of the Russian Federation. Another region of the district, the Stavropol Territory, rose from the 13th place to the 6th this year in the ranking.

As to Zakriyaeva, the survey was devoted to the tourist attractiveness and potential of Russian regions, their popularity among domestic and foreign tourists. "The leader of the rating this year was the Krasnodar region. As in the previous year, Chukotka is last in the rating table, taking the 85th position" Zakriyaeva added.

According to the interim minister for tourism and folk arts of the republic Rabiyat Zakavova, the fact that Dagestan entered the second group of this rating is "a fairly good indicator."
