Businessmen in three Dagestani cities dissatisfied with multiple increase in water tariffs
“Since the beginning of February 2024, we have received complaints from business entities on the issue of a multiple increase in tariffs for water supply and water disposal in the city of Makhachkala. Catering and hotel services have been particularly hard hit by the increase, as these activities involve significant water consumption. At the same time, entrepreneurs note that no one is explaining the reasons for such a rapid increase in tariffs while maintaining the current level of quality of the services provided” - the Commissioner’s Office informs.
The Commissioner sent a letter to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation asking it to investigate whether there are any signs of a violation of the antimonopoly legislation.
