MAKHACHKALA, May 22 – RIA Dagestan. Experts from the Tourism Competence Center of Roskachestvo (Russian Quality System) have analyzed current tourism trends and identified Dagestan as one of the most promising destinations for this season.
According to their assessment, against the backdrop of growing demand for calmer, less crowded vacations, tourists increasingly choose alternatives to mass-market resorts. The Caucasus coast of the Caspian Sea—particularly Makhachkala, Kaspiysk and Izberbash—is described as "the hit of this year" attracting travelers seeking exotic experiences at affordable prices.
Experts note that the region offers a unique combination of warm sea access, mountain trekking opportunities and visits to ancient mountain villages. While tourism infrastructure is still developing and not yet overloaded, prices for accommodation and food remain significantly lower than on the Black Sea coast. The organization emphasizes that this remaining potential for infrastructure development creates additional opportunities for comfortable and budget-friendly vacations in Dagestan.
