MAKHACHKALA, July 29 – RIA "Dagestan". The Public Chamber of Dagestan and the republican Muftiate signed a cooperation agreement in Makhachkala to strengthen collaboration between civil society and religious leaders on socially significant issues, peace preservation and moral development.
Signed by Chamber Chairman Amirkhan Magomeddadaev and Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Afandi, the document was initiated by the Commission on Interethnic, Interreligious Relations, External Relations and Migration Issues led by Ruslan Lugovoy.
The parties plan joint public hearings, round tables, and conferences to foster interfaith harmony, alongside educational programs on Russian cultural traditions, legal norms and best practices in interreligious dialogue.
They will also implement informational projects to prevent xenophobia and reinforce friendly interethnic ties, emphasizing that coordinated efforts are essential for addressing modern societal challenges effectively.
