STAVROPOL, May 20 – RIA Dagestan. Schoolchildren from Dagestan won multiple awards at the IV All-Russian Festival "Russian School Spring" held in Stavropol, competing against more than 1,800 participants from 89 Russian regions.
Patimat Gazieva from School No. 43 in Makhachkala earned first prize in "Theater Arts" and won the "Frontal Poetry. Prose" nomination. The dance ensemble "Salam" took the third place in the "Folk Dance. Large Ensembles" category with their performance of the Avar dance "Mischievous Girls." Pasha Kamaldinov from School No. 10 in Makhachkala received a special prize "For Supporting National Traditions" for his keyboard performance of the "Lezginka Dance."
The festival was organized by the Movement of the First in partnership with the Government of Stavropol Krai and the Russian Youth Union, with support from the Russian Ministry of Education.
Lyudmila Saidova, Chairperson of the Movement of the First in Dagestan, praised the students for representing the republic with dignity and expressed confidence that the competition would motivate their continued creative development. The festival, which launched in 2022 as part of Russian Student Spring, concluded with an awards ceremony at Lenin Square in Stavropol.
