MAKHACHKALA, March 31 – RIA Dagestan. Makhachkala became a meeting point for two regions: Dagestan and Bashkortostan. As part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, activists from Bashkir organization "Yete Kyz" arrived to share experiences and support families of Special Military Operation participants.
Dagestan Union of Women with backing from the Ministry for National Policy and Religious Affairs, brought together women from both republics—mothers and wives of those serving.
"Interregional cooperation is vital. The Year of Unity reminds us that interethnic friendship is our strength" - еру Union Chairwoman Khasaybat Valieva said.
But it was the personal stories that resonated most. Laysan Rabadanova, head of "Yete Kyz" recounted 17 humanitarian missions to the front line. Azaliya Baymurzina, a kindergarten director, quietly described how she assumed guardianship of her brother's three children after his death.
The event finished with medals awarding ceremony underscoring a simple truth: mutual help and unity transcend all borders—regional and national.
