MAKHACHKALA, March 23 – RIA "Dagestan". Dagestan State University has won RUB 5 million at the 5th (Jubilee) Student Scientific Associations Competition, conducted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Based on the selection results, DSU was recognized as one of ten winners in the category of projects with an international event and maximum funding, alongside leading universities in the country. Support was granted to the project of DSU Student Scientific Society "The Foundation of Science 3.0: Caspian Science Wave" which aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for student science in the Caspian macroregion.
A series of events at various levels – international, all-Russian, interregional and regional – are planned as part of the project. These include the International Youth Climate Forum Caspian Youth Climate Wave, a championship for student teams in unmanned and autonomous systems, as well as educational and popular science programs.
Key directions of the project will include the development of students' research and technological competencies, support for their publication activity and the formation of a talent pool for scientific work.
As noted by DSU Rector Murtazali Rabadanov, the victory in the competition confirms the effectiveness of the university's student science support system.
