MAKHACHKALA, June 2 – RIA Dagestan. Dagestan State University has announced the launch of a new specialist training program in technical physics. The Faculty of Physics and Technology now accepts applications for state-funded places in the "Physical and Biomedical Electronics" profile. The program is designed to prepare engineering specialists using advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
Alongside a foundation in physics and mathematics, students in the "Technical Physics" direction will study programming, electronics, informatics, biology, algorithms and modern data analysis methods. Special attention will be given to AI technologies and their practical use in engineering and medical applications.
Future engineers will learn to design AI-powered electronic systems, analyze large datasets for process optimization, develop intelligent diagnostic devices, and model physical processes through machine learning techniques. In their second year, students may choose between two specializations: biomedical, focused on creating intelligent diagnostic tools, medical sensors, and AI-based therapeutic systems, or technological, centered on the development of new materials and electronic components and the optimization of production through machine learning.
Practical training will take place at university facilities, including the "Digital Platforms" engineering center and the federal center "Analytical Spectroscopy".
Graduates of the program will be able to pursue careers in research institutes, high-tech industrial firms, organizations that develop and maintain medical equipment, engineering centers, AI startups and biomedical technology hubs.
