MAKHACHKALA, September 26 – RIA Dagestan. A delegation from the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria has been heartily welcomed at Dagestan State University rectorate for a comprehensive meeting on bilateral relations.
The visiting party was headed by Mohammed Chihoui, Vice President of Sarl Algeria Gaztech Company and Saygit Ramazanov, the head of the Algerian cooperation working group. Adding an economic perspective to the academic dialogue, Islam Isaev, head of Elektrosnab LLC, attended the event as a guest of honor.
The administrative and academic presence of the university was anchored by Vice-Rector Murtuzali Rabadanov, Dean Asiyat Khaibullaeva and department head Gamzat-Gadzhi Osmanov. The meeting also actively involved the international student body, specifically highlighting the twelve Algerians currently pursuing their studies on campus.
Rabadanov started the discussions by emphasizing the strategic importance of nurturing strong, long-term ties between Dagestan and Algeria. The university official reiterated the institutional commitment to fostering cross-border collaboration through the development of shared educational and research frameworks.
During the proceedings, Islam Isaev shared insights from his 2025 visit to Algeria, praising the nation's developmental trajectory and pledging his personal support to the students. The Algerian learners voiced their sincere gratitude to the faculty for providing a highly supportive environment and a world-class education.
Summing up the fruitful meeting, both parties outlined a shared vision for future cooperation in science, education and the economy, vowing to implement tangible joint initiatives.
