DERBENT, March 16 – RIA Dagestan. As part of activities dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Ministry for National Policy and Religious Affairs of Dagestan, in cooperation with Derbent city administration, organized a cultural and educational program for students from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan enrolled at local higher and secondary educational institutions.
At the "Jasmine" Creative Arts Center, a workshop was conducted for students of the Social and Pedagogical Institute and Dagestan College of Education under Dagestan Academy of Education and Culture. Participants engaged in a hands-on master class focused on creating souvenir plates adorned with traditional Dagestani patterns and ornamental designs, allowing them to connect with the republic's rich decorative arts heritage. Upon completion of the session, all participants were awarded certificates by the City Department of Culture, Youth Policy and Sports in recognition of their involvement in this cultural and educational initiative.
As part of the program, students participated in an informational session addressing a range of topics: legal liability for involvement in illicit drug trafficking, health risks associated with substance use, measures for countering terrorism and extremism, information security practices and strategies for preventing fraud in digital environment.
Informational materials containing recommendations on the topics discussed were distributed among all participants.
