MAKHACHKALA, March 13 – RIA "Dagestan". At the second plenary session of the Public Chamber of Dagestan, Aigun Magomedov has been unanimously elected to represent the republic in the new composition of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. The session, opened by Chairman Azizbek Cherkesov, featured a secret ballot conducted in two rounds among three candidates: Aigun Magomedov, Shamsiyat Nasrulayeva and Engels Gadzhimagomedov. Magomedov secured 23 out of 28 votes cast by attending members.
Magomedov has served as Dagestan's representative in the federal Public Chamber for multiple terms. He currently heads the Commission for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Territories within the republican Public Chamber and serves as a member of the Public Council under Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance across Dagestan).
In his renewed federal mandate, he is expected to continue advocating for the republic's interests, supporting the development of the agro-industrial sector and strengthening civil society institutions.
