According to the regional state statistics body, Dagestan ranked second in retail trade turnover among the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District. Stavropol Krai displays the highest volume of retail trade, with RUB 130.2 billion and an 18% growth compared to the first quarter of 2023.

Dagestan's retail trade turnover amounted to 125.6 billion rubles, with a 4.1% growth. Chechnya ranked third with 40.6 billion rubles and a 2.7% increase compared to last year's indices.

In total, the retail trade turnover in the Northern Caucasus grew by 9.6% in January-February 2024, reaching RUB 380.2 billion.
