Traffic Control Center opens in Dagestani capital

The official opening ceremony of the Traffic Control Center took place in Makhachkala the day before.  The representative of the Urbantech group of companies (system developer) Igor Kanatchenko presented the project of the new Center.

As to Kanatchenko, the facility is a single regional center of competence for the operation and development of the intellectual transport system of Dagestan. It is designed to monitor street congestion in real time, to manage traffic at intersections and places of main congestion of cars, to quickly respond to accidents and monitor the quality of public transport.

The head of the republican Emergency Situations Ministry Nariman Kazimagomedov expressed readiness to assist in integration of the intelligent transport system with the systems of the Situation Center of the Republic of Dagestan to cover other municipalities of region.
The technical capabilities of the system will much contribute to not only technological, but also elementary practical solutions aimed at improving the comfort of citizens, the officials say.
