Remains of deceased in Great Patriotic War buried with honor in Dagestan

Makhachkala, December 12, 2017. The solemn reburial ceremony of the remains of the Red Army soldier Muhammad Kazbekov has taken place at the military cemetery in Makhachkala.

On Monday, December 11, the ceremony of reburial of remains of the native of Dagestan who fought in the years of the Great Patriotic War near Leningrad was held in Makhachkala.

The remains of the soldiers were discovered in 2016 by the search group "Ropsha" near Lake Barskoe in Kirovsky district of Leningrad region. A note with the personal data of the soldier were found next to the remains. The Red Army soldier served as a gunner in the 930th Rifle Regiment of the 256th Division. He died on July 27, 1943 in the battle near the village of Voronovo.

The interim Head of Dagestan, Vladimir Vasilyev, who attended the reburial ceremony, noted the contribution of the search team in the return of memory of the heroes of Fatherland.
