Prospects for tourism development in Daghestan to be discussed within an interregional interactive videoconference

Makhachkala, February 25, 2014. The interregional interactive videoconference "Daghestan tourism: opportunities and prospects " will take place in Makhachkala on February 27, Daghestani tourism committee official reports.

The conference is held within the framework of the priority project "Brand new Dagestan".  The main goals of the event are to form a positive image of the republic, to promote and to develop a brand of Daghestan and Dagestan tourism products among the target audience of tour agencies, as well as potential investors in the Russian regions, to attract new tourist groups. Besides, it is expected to coordinate and accumulate the efforts of tourism industry subjects, municipalities, educational institutions, specialized state authorities, the representative of Daghestani diasporas in regions in the prospective development of tourist potential of Daghestan.

The target audience of Daghestan, including 150 representatives of executive authorities and local self-government, the tourism industry, the heads of travel companies, organizations, sanatorium-and-spa institutions, recreation centers , hotels, schools, transport organizations , etc. will gather in the conference hall of Daghestan State University. The organizers will hold an official presentation of Daghestani tourist products (state public institution "Dagestan": ethno-cultural tourism, the 2000th anniversary of Derbent , fishing and hunting ,  extreme tourism, coastal and ski tourism, business, scientific and educational tourism , etc.) for the discussion of practical issues within the conference.
