Makhachkala, May 22, 2019. The residents of Dagestan of pre-retirement age are given an opportunity to take part in the project “University of the Third Generation”, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Republic reports.

The project aims at organization of professional training and additional education of a certain category of persons who are expected to significantly improve their skills in various competencies in the labor market. The men aged 55 - 60 years and the women of 50 - 55 years old are welcomed to take part in the project. The training process will be conducted in more than 100 specialties - to choose from. Upon completion of training, Dagestanis will be able to continue working in the same place, or apply the acquired skills in another field of activity.

Anyone wishing to participate in this project should contact the Employment Center at the place of residence. Moreover, the employers have the opportunity to send their employees who match this category to undergo vocational training or receive additional education in specialties.

Finally, the Ministry official added the non-employed citizens will be granted a special scholarship in the amount of the minimum wage for the period of training. According to experts, since the beginning of the year, approximately 800 people are scheduled to be trained in the region, and at least 4700 by the end of 2019.
