Makhachkala, January 17, 2018. Approx. 5.5 hectares of forests were planted in Dagestan in the Year of Ecology. As to the press service of the Republican Forestry Agency, the servicemen cultivated 20 hectares of land and carried out numerous educational activities.

Dagestan summed up the results of the Year of Ecology held in the Republic in 2017. During the reporting period the Republican Forestry Agency conducted measures to restore tree nurseries. The seeds of oak, staminate, hawthorn and dzhuzguna were planted on the area of 0.4 hectares in the territory of Nogay Forestry Station. Besides, the soil on the area of 20 hectares has been improved for spring crops in 2018 in Nogai municipal district.
