On average, it took potential candidates in Russia just under six months to find a job in 2023. However, in Dagestan, this figure was significantly higher, with an average of nine months. The unemployment rate in the republic worsened at the end of 2023 compared to 2022, with 12.5% of the total able-bodied population being unemployed. This is one of the highest rates in the country. In Moscow, it takes over four months to find a job, while in St. Petersburg, it takes less than three months. The residents of the Far North are the quickest to find employment, with just over two months needed in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
