Makhachkala, September 23, 2018. The six-day All-Russian competitions in trial for the Cup of the Caucasus which gathered more than 200 rescuers and volunteers from the regions of the Northern Caucasus, Southern and Volga federal districts and the city of Moscow have ended in the mountains of Chechnya today.

Based on results of the competitions, Dagestan rescuers have been recognized as the best specialists in the Northern Caucasus - the press service of the regional Headquarters of the Emergency Situations Ministry reports.
The team from Moscow have become the silver prize-winner of the competition. Rescuers from the city of Ufa took the bronze.

The trial participants competed in the search, transportation and first medical aid rendering operations to the victims in the technogenic and natural environment disasters. They also competed in rafting on the mountain river and rescuing people on the water, as well as performed combined strength exercises and ran a three-kilometer cross.

The competitions have become the most difficult in the history of the tournament. For the first time they included the stage of "liquidation of anthropogenic emergency situation" at which the rescuers had to go through numerous obstacles with dangerous factors typical for real disasters, the press service notes.
