Makhachkala, September 29, 2019. The opening ceremony of the all-Russian parachuting competition for the cup of the public organization "Russian Heroes Association" has taken place on Saturday in the village of Novokayakent in Kayakentsky municipal district of Dagestan. The event was attended by the first head of the municipality Magomedemin Gadzhiev, the head coach of the Russian parachuting team Vadim Niyazov, the president of Dagestan Parachuting Federation Ruslan Abdullatipov, and the member of the board of the Russian Heroes Association, the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Soluyanov.

"These competitions have been held for the second year. The representatives of republican ministries and state bodies, the guests from Moscow and other regions came to the official opening ceremony. More than 100 paratroopers from 27 subjects of the country take part in the competitions" – the spokesman for the Kayakentsky administration told reporters.

According to the district administration officer, the representatives of such countries as Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro also take part in the competition this year: "The event will be held till October 1 and will end with a solemn award ceremony and a large concert".
