Makhachkala hosts North Caucasian Tourism Forum "Open Dagestan-2022"

The North Caucasian Tourism Forum "Open Dagestan-2022" has taken place in Dagestani capital - Makhachkala. The event was organized by the regional Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts and Crafts. It brought together the representatives of the tourism industry of Dagestan and other regions of the North Caucasian Federal District interested in cooperation and collaboration in tourism. The Forum participants discussed the problems and perspectives of development of tourism branch in the region
The issues related to the development and implementation of major tourist and recreational projects, the development of mountainous areas and rural tourism, as well as increasing the investment attractiveness of the region were among the key topics of the event.

The program of the educational part of the forum was rich and informative. Speakers at lectures told about interesting projects in the field of tourism, mechanisms for improving the interaction between travel companies and hotels, as well as the way to improve the quality of hotel services. The cultural and entertaining program took place at Lenin Square. Lenin Square. There the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District and municipalities of Dagestan exhibited their expositions. The stands presented national costumes, dishes, handicrafts and much more.

Besides, Dagestan presented exhibitions of Dagestan gastronomic brands, accommodation facilities and tourist routes. The participants delighted the guests with folk dances, songs and playing of national instruments, while creative teams, singers and dance groups performed on the main stage.
