The inflation rate in Dagestan in February 2024 rose to 10.04%, which is higher than average in the North Caucasian Federal District (7.95%) and in Russia as a whole. In January the inflation rate in the republic was 9.73%.

The prices of meat products (beef, mutton), fresh-cut flowers, construction materials and other goods have risen. Medical organizations have also increased their costs, which led to a rise in the prices of their services. Thus, in February, the annual increase in the price of food in the country rose to 12.31%, and that of non-food products to 7.25%. Overall, core inflation in Dagestan rose from 9.34% to 10.43% in 2024.
