Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov and Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov inspect social facilities in Makhachkala

The Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov visited the region on a working visit. According to the press service of the republican Government, the top military together with the head of the region Sergei Melikov inspected a school being built in the Hippodrome neighborhood in Makhachkala. The 1224-seat facility is being constructed within the framework of the national project "Education".

The building with total area of 26 000 sq.m. is divided into 4 blocks: philological studies block, elementary education block with separate detached area on 3 floors, social sciences block with canteen and assembly hall, three-storey educational zone and sports zone with swimming pools and gyms on 2 floors.

The completion of construction and commissioning of the facility is scheduled for 2023. Remind that in total 110 educational facilities: 51 schools and 59 kindergartens were designed, built and commissioned in 2022 within the framework of the national projects "Demography" and "Education" in Dagestan.

As part of his working trip to Dagestan, Timur Ivanov also inspected a 200-bed kindergarten in the Hippodrome neighborhood, visited the construction site of a new military hospital and checked the infrastructure development of the Caspian Fleet in the republic.
